Delete your LIBER account

You can delete your account and everything attached to it at any time. There are two ways: from inside the app, which is immediate, or by email if you no longer have the app installed.

1. From inside the app

Open LIBER and tap the person icon at the top left of the library.
Stay on the Profile tab.
Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
Confirm twice. The second confirmation is final.

Deletion happens straight away. If the app tells you to sign out and sign back in first, that is a security check by Google Firebase: it only allows an account to be deleted by someone who signed in recently. Sign out, sign back in, and repeat the steps above.

2. By email

Write to info@liberaudiobooks.com from the email address you signed up with, with REMOVE as the subject.

We use the sending address to confirm the request is really yours. We will delete the account and confirm by reply within 30 days, usually much sooner.

What gets deleted

Your email address and account credentials.
Your user identifier (Firebase Authentication).
Your library: the books in your account, their covers and your reading progress.
Your listening sessions and reading statistics.
Your search history.

Books you imported yourself were only ever stored on your own device — we never had a copy to delete.

What is kept, and why

Anonymous statistics. Figures about the books — title, author, category, language, how far readers get — are kept with no link whatsoever to you: no identifier, no email, no name. They cannot be traced back to a person, so they are not personal data.
Billing records. Where a subscription was purchased, accounting and tax law requires invoice and transaction records to be kept for up to 10 years. Payments run through Google Play, so Google's own terms apply to them as well.

Your subscription is separate

Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription — that lives with Google, not with us. Cancel it in the Google Play Store → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions, otherwise it will keep renewing.

Cancel the subscription first, then delete the account.
